Our Story

The idea for our business model came in the Summer of 2018 when we were out walking our 9 year old chocolate lab - JJ. It was a hot day and the beaches were closed because of E Coli. All I wanted to do was to provide some relief from the heat for her!

JJ had arthritis in her hip and like most labs, running is her favorite thing but causes the most pain. I believe that non weight bearing exercise can be the best cross training and pain reliever that we can give her. It was breaking our heart to see our pup limp so we opened Dog Swim Vancouver for young and old pups whose parents want the best for their dog, like we want for JJ.

I have extensive training with dogs - including a certification in  positive reinforcement dog training. I was trained by Amber Cottle who is a well known dog trainer in Delta.  Come join us for a drop in swim, a swim lesson or a day at our fun daycare!
